& the story continues,

4 weeks since school started.. Things are much better than the first few days, when me n my friends were quite lost, so we took the map wherever we go, making it so obvious that we are freshies. Haha.

So far so good is NTU to me. The people. lecturers, culture and the food. They are making me so fat today. Was supposed to meet Vic today, but the date was postponed to next week due to her commitments, Thank god, I think she can't even recognise me when I'm standing right in front of her. Lol.

Anyway, I'm not gonna join a CCA, I wanna get a First Class, so I'm working on it. (People who know me very well will know I'm enthusiastic only at the start of everything) Haha. I Will try to keep this passion going, after hearing all those stories of good honours leading to goooooooood salaries. I wanna b a rich taitai in my retirement days. Lol.

I woke up so early to participate in Radio 91.3 Shanghai trip giveaway. Some ppl may think I'm crazy, but If I were to be so lucky like this guy, I will be on my way to Shanghai ): Nvm, I will try again next week.

Can't wait for COMEX as I'm getting my netbook!

Goodbye time.

& the story continues,

Last friday, went to Causeway Pt to meet Dear for dinner. We were attracted to Crystal Jade's steamboat poster at the restaurant. Although Seoul Garden provides a larger variety with hotplate, we decided on Crystal Jade cos it sounds so yummy, exclusive to the outlet at Causeway pt! Its priced ard 20 per person, comes with a limited amt of prawns per pax, the only -ve pt is that no fish, no crab, nt much seafood. Although bugis provides all the above, of course the ambience and hygiene nt as good. Personally, I'm satisfied with Crystal Jade's steamboat.

Through the whole dinner, only took this pic. We were busy eating. We both love the dumplings to the max. In fact, i'm not a dumpling lover, but here, the dumplings and wontons really rock my tastebuds. Very very nice! Like those Har Gao in high class dimsum restaurant. We ordered like 3 times, 2 servings each = 3x2x4= 24!! We ate approximately 12 dumplings each. This is crazy. In the pic above, the prawns are actually stil alive. Imagine their pain when they have a bamboo stick in them, although feeling sinful, they are really yummy. Svs is great too, although their face black like charcoal, they kept refilling out soup and drink at a fast pace, the lady even tell us to eat slowly after our 3rd order. Good! Will be back again!

Our tummies so bloated after that, so went arcade for some hoops! We dropped by TS and Dear's eyes glued to the tv set showing Micheal Jackson's 1992 concert. So we bought a copy home to enjoy!

The next day, prepared early to go to NDP preview, Clement's sis won those tickets. So excited. The mailer told us that the seating starts at 4, we were right there at that time. I think its a lil early, cos the programme start at 6. OMG. We were happy suntanning there. But 2 hours dint felt so long, perhaps with the company. In a while, the motivators came out and the programme start in no time. We even got a free picture taken by those ppl promoting for Canon, it was printed into a card for us, Nice! I find this year's NDP quite entertaining, not too bad, but I'm not in the right position to comment on it, cos I'm not a NDP fan, din't even view it on TV last year. Still, it was great being in the crowd, yelling 'Happy Birthday Spore' and doing the Marina Wave!

Took like 160 pictures! I really like the one with 2 hearts. They are lights from the funpack. I dont understand why Dear's light can turn blue, its actually either white or red. Lol, but it died after awhile, guess its spoilt. After NDP, we walked to Funan and Dear's Dad picked us up for supper @ Balestier Bak Kut Teh.

Sunday, brunch was with Dear's family @ Red Star Restaurant. The dimsum there is superb! Very very nice! The previous sunday was at Chinatown Pt's Mouth Restaurant, for dimsum as well. Both are very nice, comparable to Yum Cha, this made me miss the days my Dad bring me to Yum Cha for dimsum, and I ordered like crazy, those were the days I'm at my peak of my weight of cos, haha.

After brunch, his Dad sent us to Vivo, we were heading to St James for Shop n Swap Flea Mkt! I loove it, only if its more organized, less messy, and brighter. Nevertheless, I still spent a total of 20 dollars to get a brown cowboy vest and an oversized top, from popular blogshop stalls, its only at flea markets could I get those bargains!

Upcoming happenings for me!

1) Tmr would be HSS Welcome Day. I'm going alone, so miserable. Only there for the matriculation card and refreshments. Hehe!

2) Friday night's dinner would be steamboat with family organized by me! Yummy!

3) Visiting Flea-tique this sunday at Singapore Arts Museum for more bargains!

4) Watching UP this weekend

5) Spending the whole long weekend with Dear and family (his and mine) is loooves.

6) School starting next Tues ):

.

.

.

P.S. 1: I miss my friends, all of them. And its really hard to get all of us tgt, hopefully in a week's time can go KTV with them!

P.S. 2: My timetable is a total disaster, 5 day week and schooling for 1 or 2 hours each day. Still quite free though, ask me out! :D

P.S 3: To all: Enjoy our long nation birthday holiday! Esp those starting school anytime soon, all the best!

literally SHOPPED TILL I DROP these days while i'm not blogging. it feels like nothing when i use ib, i keep spending n spending, n when i did my math, i spent a lump sum of near to 200 dollars! like OMG. ytd, caught up with BonitoChico's sale. Bought a dress and a top, when they emailed me the invoice bout 2 hours later, they added on that the rest of the items are OOS!! this is crazy, no wonder many say they buy on impulse there, there isnt much time to think whether it is worth the money, people just grab!

Ytd, i walked all the way to the jurong west stadium, i wanted a swim, and upon reaching i only realized that the pool is having mainteinance every tues. WTF. i had to walk back again, i dont consider this exercise for heaven's sake. and being at home means computer, means online shopping, means spending money again for me.. ):

Im pretty inspired to have an online business, nt really for the money, but cos it serves as an excuse for me to go overseas often. I really miss travelling, excluding the msia trips, i really need a getaway. Hoping for one at the end of the year!

Would upload pics of my loots when they're here!

Goodbye time.

& the story continues,

It wasn't my first time watching this trailer, it was months before when I first watched it, during the commercial break before any other flims start. It really makes me anticipate the movie, despite my preference for thrillers instead of cartoons. The grumpy old inventor, Carl, and the cute young scout, Russell, left a deep impression in my heart ever since. In the show, little Russell is offerring to help Carl to cross the road or his yard as he is supposed to do a good deed a day as a Scout, making him so helpful and lovable. The two main characters interest me much, as I realize that Carl, although seemed to be an angry old man, has actually a heart of gold, as he still allowed Russell to enter his house after he set off. The duo of young and old, one so happy and the other so glum, had made me feel more curious on how their journey would turn out to be...

(From the top: Carl, Russell, Dug and Kevin)

Remember to catch UP!

UP in Singapore Cinemas opening 7th August 2009

Goodbye time.

& the story continues,

Yay! I won tickets to a sneak preview movie! Or should I say.. Dear won those tickets to the sneak preview movie. It was quite embarrassing when we turned up at the ticket collection booth yesterday at GV Grand (it doesn't mean really grand, it simply means the GV at Great World), present my IC, and the helpers there couldnt find my name on the list and all. After clarification and showing the SMS, we realized that the contest was won under Dear's name. I used his email and name to take part in the contest too. After that, he kept on blabbering that his got the luck and not me. -.-

Anyway, The movie was 'The Hangover', it sounded foreign to me, and I went there with the its-free-what-do-you-expect mindset. Neither did I know its such a hilarious flim! Its actually about 4 guys, having one of them's bachelor's night party in Las Vegas where his wedding is in LA. They had this huge hangover which caused them to forget what they did the previous night, they did ridiculous stuff, from stealing a magician's tiger to having one of them married to a stripper. Its totally funny.. its my first movie that people in the cinema clapped after it ended.

Anyone going to watch the movie, I would remind you that even though its only NC16, it seems R21, I was informed of nudity in the show, but I didn't expect genitals totally exposed. Saw one of the guys in his underwear in the trailer, I thought that was the limit. Actually the course language and sexual content really added humour to the show. I would advice open minded ppl to go and watch the show and get a good laugh!

Goodbye time.

& the story continues,

Thanks all for your love, I'm fine really. Sometimes we do stupid things at times of despair, and my last blog entry is one of them, it came to be a misunderstanding, or probably time had washed away any grievances I had. I have deleted the previous blog entry that made you so puzzled, so as to not remind me of unhappy stuff, since they r bygones.

I should have revised on my grammar, if I made any mistakes in my posts, pls correct me kays :D

I went for dental checkup on Mon. The dentist is crazy, really, I've got this tooth right at the back, and its very close to my gums, she just use the surgical instruments to force through my gums in order to get some rubber band onto that tooth, I teared and bleed. Its so painful, still swollen now! Pls get a male dentist for long term commitment (like braces) cos female ones are really violent. (This is a generalistion.) Can't wait for my straight braceless teeth in a year's time or so..

Went for medical checkup on Wed, had a hard time looking for the medical center, good thing the whole process isn't as lengthy as expected, I even met darling Yiqing there, what a coincidence, of all days.. :D Then went JP to swop my house set top box for a Hubstation, my brother finally agreed after much persuasion, I can now record the channel 55 shows I often would miss! I almost got electricuted while fixing the machine to my TV. The guide book said that the blah voltage could be fatal. Phew!

It's the long awaited Thurs! Cos our pre-ordered Man Utd jersey arrived at the shop @ Queensway. Met Dear to get them, Lovely!

I know you would ask me, since when I became a Man Utd fan? Actually, I'm not really a diehard fan, though, if you asked me what's my favourite club, most likely the answer would be Man Utd. No particular reason, probably because people around me are the hardcore Man Utd fans, a fact hard to ignore, my brother and my bf. And got the jersey since Dear agreed to get it for me, out of courtesy, returned the favour.

Im not so heavy laa ):

I was fascinated at how crazy some football fans are. I came across this Man Utd forum. There was one person who commented, "Man U blah blah", nothing offensive.. Another fan replied his comment saying that he was disrespecting the club or sth like that, simply beacuse 'Man U' sounded offensive. I mean, many ppl will go about saying 'Man U' instead of 'Manchestester United', clearly simpler, so typing 'Man U' out like in a conversation is understandable. Today's sunday times featured this Liverpool fan who love the club more than his wife. Their apartment, wedding and even their wedding band, has something to do with Liverpool. I don't know, in my opinion, people have to get their priorities right.

Dear got me Beancurd tarts on the same day. I pestered him for them, for quite some time already, after reading some comments online.

I would say, it's delicious! As a beancurd lover, I really love this little delight. The beancurd is delicate and soft, eat especially when they are chilled, I fell in love with them on the first bite. Pls give it a try, I'm sure you will like it too. Lecafe dot com dot sg would be where u will go for the necessary information.

Friday, I couldnt join Yh, Yk n Molly to HollandV cos I had to go to Bugis to help Dear's Mom get her NDS Lite. She's totally into Bejewelled-sort-of game, and could spend hours on it. Dear hated BugisV, but I insisted on going, I need to buy something. Been some time since I spent on stuff. It was worth the effort, got the canvas flats below.

Nice? I need more clothes, I am one of those people who will be worrying theres nothing to wear every morning. None of that problems in JC, but uni's starting soon, I really need to get my wardrobe revamped. Thats why I have to trip to Bangkok! Expecting it in May, if only I'm immortal, time pass faster!

Steamboat was for dinner on Fri, at this shop right at the back of they alley of steamboat stalls. Their soup is really nice, other than that, everything else sucks. We had the teppanyaki, and I was so irritated with the oil splattering. It was so stuffy too, argh, service sucks as well. Probably will be back if they allow us to sit inside, to be able to enjoy the aircon and all..

Was already heading to ECP for my cycling session on Sat, but it rained just as we left the house. Dummer. So we went bowling instead, @ Jurong Chevrons. The only highlight of the day would be the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, we watched it at JP GV together with my brother, my sis and her bf. We watched at 11.45pm, the 2.5 hours flied past, although I think the show is quite draggy. I still love it. Every episode of Harry Potter is worth watching. What Dear love of the show is Emma Watson, she's pretty still. For me, I'm horrified by Dumbledore's death, this episode made people love him so much, but destroyed him just as our love deepens. Other than Dumbledore's death and Snape's betrayal, there aren't much main points left. Still, pls watch, its worth the penny.

Im watching the Goblet of Fire on Chnl 5 now, my best rated HP movie of all, for its great graphics and sound effects. I will be waiting patiently for the next input: HP and the deathly hallows. I swear to be the first few to book so that I will not have to take midnight shows in order to get good seats. (I booked on Tue for Sat show, but there were only front show seats left for night showtimes in town :O)

Gonna concentrate on the TV set! Will update when there are stuff to!

P.S. A new blog song, a great record from the King of Pop, lots of love.. Enjoy!
